KMG Provides TRAINING FOR INSPECTORS

OUR TRAINING SERVICES

(Special offer to new clients)

(We will work the first day at no cost)

As a Professor at Orange Coast College I have learned the importance of  patience and consistency in developing younger inspectors. Our comprehensive inspection training procedures lead to a measure of quality control, with the purpose of reducing costly construction delays, and subsequent servicing and maintenance cost.

Services KMG Provides

OUR CONSULTING SERVICES

If you have a small simple case, or a project with a tight budget or timeline, consider our streamline service.  It is our closed end Observation/Investigation and Analysis Package.  This strategy often gives the client the technical data and advice they need.  Our open end consulting contract is designed for large complex dispute resolution cases.

KMG clients have long recognized the need for experienced and quality control services on complex projects.  KMG’s process is to verify that the product furnished by the contractor is in full compliance with the plans specifications and other contract documents.  Our comprehensive inspection procedures lead to a measure of quality control, with the purpose of reducing costly construction delays, and subsequent servicing and maintenance cost.

STRATEGY ADVISORY SERVICES

KMG consistently provides a thorough examination of construction procedures for potential conflicts that, without correct evaluation, might increase cost during construction.

KMG is often engaged on projects after serious problems have occurred and have caused overruns or delays.  After identifying the need of possible intervention our project management experts quickly take action, implementing procedures to get the project back on track.  Additionally, our highly skilled team work's with the client to mitigate and solve claims, while supporting project progress.

Unfortunately, not all projects are recoverable without addressing a dispute issue.  When projects cannot be resolved, KMG assists the client with documentation and strategic planning for dispute resolution.

CONSTRUCTION DISPUTE RESOLUTION

We deliver clarity and well-delineated solutions that help maintain the integrity and reputation of all parties involved.

KNOWLEDGE BASE

Trouble Projects may be plagued with the following problems:

  • Circumstances resulting in cost overruns
  • Difficulties in meeting milestones or completion deadlines
  • Failure or unwillingness to allocate resources to the project
  • Inability to maintain project scheduling
  • Significant and/or critical technical issues with the project

QUESTIONS TO ASK YOUR PRIME CONTRACTOR

  • One of the main reasons for multiple RFI on a project will be from lack of sub contractors.
  • Prime contractor have  been moving towards limited subcontractor on their project for some time now. They are trying to save money while sacrificing quality. They will provide a team of multiple employees  to do the majority of the work. Therefore limiting the knowledge and experience of the sub contactor that provides a higher quality of workmanship in that activity.
  • This leads to RFIs that would not be necessary by an experienced sub contractor .
  • This will also make the Inspector's and Construction management teams duties much more difficult and will slow down a project significantly by having to wait for direction or response to the RFI.
  • It can build a case for the Prime Contractor through claims to untruthfully show the plans were not complete.
  • When a Prime Contractor has provided the maximum amount of sub contractors to the  project, the inspector will not only be welcomed but encouraged to due his/her due diligent on inspection of each activity, as the Prime Contractor will want to get maximum effort and quality for what he has paid for from his subcontractor.
  • When the Prime Contractor is also the sub-contractor  he looks to the inspector to be nit-picking and a nuisance. In some cases he will go as far as to accuse the inspector of slowing down his project and costing him money.
